MANILA – “I’m already 24, I’m of age.”
This is what Andi Eigenmann said when asked by ABS-CBN News and other reporters on why she decided to finally move out of their house and live independently.
“I’m of age, feeling ko. I want to be able to learn, to be more independent in that sense, especially now that I have my daughter. I don’t necessarily have to do it but I want to, for myself,” she said.
Eigenmann said she and her daughter Ellie will now be living in a separate house, although she is sure that there won't be much of a difference because her mom, actress Jaclyn Jose, and siblings will surely visit them often.
“Actually my mom has been living in Nuvali and then sa bahay namin, parang back and forth siya so not necessarily away from my mom kasi for the past years, hindi ko na talaga siya nakakasama sa bahay every day. Pero ngayon lang mangyayari na ako na rin, meron na akong sariling bahay. I’m pretty sure they’d be in my house all the time to see Ellie,” she said.
Asked about her mother’s initial reaction, Eigenmann said: “Excited siya na tulungan ako kasi pareho kami mahilig sa design design so excited siya to help me buy things for the place. 'Yung pag-design ng living room and kitchen.”
Since she and her daughter will now be on their own, the “Dyesebel” actress said she is looking forward to spending more quality time with Ellie.
“Just like me, she’s a very unique. She does herself. Wala siyang pakialam kung ano ang iniisip ng iba. At 2 years old, hindi siya mahiyain. The differences though are that she’s more friendly than I am. She’s more of an extrovert. She likes being on set with me,” she said.
