MANILA -- Vhong Navarro on Tuesday avoided questions from reporters seeking his comment on reports that model Deniece Cornejo, who has accused the actor-host of rape, had cut her wrist.

Cornejo is currently detained at the Philippine National Police headquarters in Quezon City after being charged with serious illegal detention over the mauling of Navarro last January 22.

Basta ako nagpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng nagdarasal at sumusuporta sa akin," Navarro told reporters on Tuesday after he signed a new contract with ABS-CBN.

On Monday, police released a photo of Cornejo's wrist, which she allegedly cut using an eyebrow trimmer as sign of protest to the court's dismissal of a rape complaint she filed against Navarro.

Cornejo's grandfather, Rod Cornejo, told "The Buzz" in a text message that the letters "W" and "R" stand for "women's rights."

In the interview, Navarro said he is just happy that his fans have never left since the controversy broke.

It's Showtime" host said.
