PAGASA, in its latest advisory issued 4:15 a.m., said the tropical cyclone will hit the southern part of the metropolis, between 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., revising its earlier estimate that the metropolis will go under the typhoon's eye around noon.
PAGASA weather forecaster Alvin Pura, in an interview on "Umagang Kay Ganda," also said the center of the typhoon may miss hitting Metro Manila directly and hammer northern Cavite instead.
The typhoon's eye was located 70 kilometers southeast of Metro Manila as of 4 a.m.
Glenda is now packing maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 185 kph, PAGASA said.
