MANILA - Actress Angel Locsin still can't get over the success of her defunct series "The Legal Wife," saying that it paved the way for more blessings.
In an interview on Tuesday's episode of the ABS-CBN morning show "Kris TV," Locsin said she and her co-star, Maja Salvador, are still "speechless" as "The Legal Wife" consistently earned high ratings and landed on social media trends locally and worldwide during its run.
"Parang nakakatawa lang talaga, kaya kami hanggang ngayon ni Maja ay speechless pa rin kami," she said.
Locsin is also thankful to have been given some projects prior to her return to primetime TV via "The Legal Wife," citing her stints in the noontime variety show "It's Showtime" and the sitcom "Toda Max."
"Kasi sa totoo lang ang tagal kong wala sa TV... magti-three [years], 'di ba? So nagpapasalamat na lang ako na may endorsements at nakikita ako sa TV. May 'Toda Max,' tapos kinuha ako sa 'Showtime.' Kahit papano, visible ka kahit papano," she said.
"Tapos noong dumating [ang 'The Legal Wife'] ay nagulat kami sa [response ng tao]," she added.
Currently, Locsin is gearing up for the upcoming "Darna" movie. The actress previously played the role of the iconic superheroine for a TV series in another network.
Locsin is also part of the kiddie talent show "Promil's I-Shine Talent Camp 3" as an acting mentor.
