MANILA, Philippines - Actress Rochelle Barrameda expressed her disappointment over the latest development in the murder case of her sister Ruby Rose Barrameda Jimenez.

According to Barrameda, the Regional Trial Court of Navotas ordered the suspension of the proceedings of the parricide case filed against Manuel Jimenez III, husband of Ruby Rose who was killed then was found in 2009, two years after she was reported missing.

In an interview with "Showbiz News Ngayon", Barrameda said they are unhappy with the motion especially now that Jimenez's bodyguard Lennard “Spyke” Descalso was finally arrested.

Descalso, one of the suspects in the slay case, was arrested in Mariveles, Bataan on June 17.

"Nakakalungkot kasi one of their motions na i-suspend 'yong proceedings 'yong parricide case against Manuel Jimenez III, 'yong husband ni Ruby Rose. Na-grant 'yon for the reason na may pending case pa daw sa Office of the President," Barrameda said.

"Nalungkot ako. Actually naiyak ako kasi kung kailan nahuli itong si Spyke, bodyguard ito ng asawa ni Ruby Rose, eh bigla mong ititigil ang proceeding against the husband," the actress added.

Barrameda said they will file a motion to junk the court's order.

"Nakausap ko din ang aming prosecution na we are going to file a motion of course sa Office of the President, sa RTC na bigyan naman sana ng pansin," she said.

It was on June 10, 2009 when Ruby Rose's body was found inside a steel drum dumped at the Navotas fish port.
