MANILA - Behind cameras, Sarah Geronimo could not be farther from her "superstar" persona on TV, according to her boyfriend Matteo Guidicelli.

The 25-year-old actor opened up about Geronimo during a recent press conference announcing his part in Regal Films' new "Shake, Rattle & Roll" movie, which will compete in this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

"Sarah, there are so many things people don't know about her that is very, very interesting," he said. "It's even more lovable, 'di ba. Many things. She's amazing."

Guidicelli added: "There are just so many things she wants to do, wants to say, and one day, she will, 'di ba? And she's starting."

Geronimo, who is turning 26 on July 25, made headlines last month when she candidly admitted being in a romantic relationship with Guidicelli, ending months of speculation.

The couple had been tight-lipped about their relationship, even during press conferences wherein they were repeatedly asked on the subject.

'She's worth it'

Asked how Geronimo has influenced him since they started dating, Guidicelli said: "She influences me in many ways. She motivates me in many ways."

He explained that Geronimo, who is dubbed local showbiz's "Pop Star Royalty," has remained humble despite her successes in her 10-year career.

Aside from platinum-selling albums and sold-out concerts, Geronimo has been repeatedly named "box-office queen" following her string of blockbuster films, specifically her movie series co-starring John Lloyd Cruz.

"Sarah reminds me to stay grounded all the time, to keep simple all the time. Sarah's Sarah, but when you're with her, you don't even think she's Sarah, 'di ba. Pag kasama ko siya sa isang table, nakakalimot po ako na si Sarah pala 'yon. It never hits me that she's a superstar, 'diba," he said.

"So when I see her on TV sometimes, parang [nagugulat ako]."

When asked if he is hoping Geronimo will be "the one," Guidicelli had a quick answer: "The fact na I'm still here, 'di ba, that the relationship is still going on and on and on, I am. I hope she will be. She's worth it."

Apart from "Shake, Rattle & Roll," Guidicelli is gearing up for the release of two other films -- a sequel to the 2012 comedy movie "Moron 5 and the Crying Lady," and the romance film "Somebody to Love," which will premiere next month.
