'Cinco' premiere a success
MANILA, Philippines - Hundreds of fans and moviegoers flocked to SM Megamall's Cinema10 on Tuesday, July 13 to watch the premiere of Star Cinema's horror movie "Cinco."
"Cinco" is the first horror film of Star Cinema for 2010. The movie is made by a new breed of creative Philippine movie directors and visionaries who will push the "horror genre" to the next level.
It has five horrifying episodes with an unexpected thread tying them all.
The film’s lead stars including AJ Perez, Robi Domingo, Sam Concepcion, Zanjoe Marudo, Rayver Cruz, Mariel Rodriguez, Maja Salvador, Pokwang and Jodi Sta. Maria were overwhelmed by the support of moviegoers.
“Maraming salamat po sa pagpunta niyo lahat dito. Sana po lahat tayo ay mag-enjoy at sama-sama tayong matakot,” Salvador told the crowd.
"Sa lahat po ng mga nanood ng 'Cinco,' maraming salamat po. Sana po ay nag-enjoy kayo at natakot kayo. Sana po ay nagustuhan niyo ang handog namin sa inyo," Sta. Maria said after watching the movie.
Also present during the premiere were ABS-CBN stars Bianca Gonzalez, RR Enriquez, Carmen Soo, Valerie Concepcion, Kelly Misa, Ketsup Eusebio, Jason Gainza, Pooh, Rogie Cruz, Will Devaughn, Bangs Garcia, David Chua, Johan Santos, Amy Austria, Boboy Mortiz and Melisa Cantiveros.
Also spotted were comedian Jon Santos, Tirso Cruz III, Bojie Cruz and ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio.
The regular screening will start on Wednesday, July 14. It will be shown in over 100 theaters nationwide.
