MANILA -- Twelve-year-old Earl Consolacion, dubbed as the "KBL (kasal, birthday, libing) singer," showed his versatility to earn a spot in Sing Offs on "The Voice Kids."
In the Sunday episode of the ABS-CBN talent show, Consolacion faced off with 12-year-old Don Angelo Santos and 14-year-old folk singer Twittle Dizon.
Coach Sarah Geronimo chose Regine Velasquez' "Dadalhin" to check on their versatility.
"Hindi mo naman kailangan baguhin ang sarili mo pero importante sa singers, flexible ang mga boses," she added.
Both Coach Lea Salonga and Bamboo picked Consolacion, praising his effortless singing and simple yet powerful delivery of the song.
Geronimo commended Santos for accepting the challenge wholeheartedly, even when the song did not fit his voice.
"Ang hinahanap ko, ang batang mahusay kumanta, ang batang kumokonekta sa puso ng mga nanonood sa kanya," she said, before picking Consolacion.
