MANILA - Aside from One Direction, more foreign acts are set to hold concerts in the Philippines next year.
Actress-host Kris Aquino made the announcement on Friday's episode of her morning show, "Kris TV." She said Justin Timberlake, Celine Dion and Ed Sheeran are scheduled to perform in the country in 2015.
Aquino said she was invited to watch the shows of Timberlake, Dion and Sheeran in the United States -- as well as One Direction and rapper Eminem -- so she can tell Filipinos what to expect when these acts head to Manila.
"So there's an invitation for an experiential account of watching... apat 'yung in-invite nila: Justin Timberlake, One Direction, Celine Dion and Ed Sheeran," she said. "Lahat sila pupunta rito next year."
"In between, manonood ako ng Eminem," she added.
Aquino said she will watch Timberlake's show in Los Angeles on August 14, followed by One Direction on August 17 and Eminem the next day.
She did not mention when she will watch the concerts of Dion and Sheeran.
Meanwhile, Aquino said she feels honored to be given the opportunity to see such popular acts before they perform in Manila.
"Sabi ko, 'My God, ang sarap naman ng trabahong ito.' Manonood ka lang ng mga show at ikukuwento mo sa mga Pinoy para malaman nila what to expect when these acts come here," she said.
Early this year, it was announced that One Direction will perform in Manila on March 21 and 22, 2015.
