MANILA -- K-pop fans from different parts of the metro gathered in Quezon City over the weekend for the third edition of K-pop Garage Sale and Open Stage.
Held at Centris Walk of Eton Centris on Sunday, K-pop Garage Sale and Open Stage is considered one of the most anticipated events of the year by K-pop enthusiasts in the Philippines.
Fans got their share of new and pre-loved K-pop merchandise at affordable prices from various fan clubs and concessionaire booths.
They also witnessed local K-pop cover performers competing in an open stage singing and dancing contest. Winners are set to be given a huge opportunity to be included in the line-up for the next K-pop Con 9.
On top of these were activities such as raffle draws, a dance showdown, and games sponsored by local K-pop fan clubs.
The event was hosted by the Philippine K-pop Convention, Inc., a non-profit organization intended to unify K-pop music fans in the Philippines, to strengthen ties between local fan clubs, and to raise funds for Gawad Kalinga Community Development Projects and the Philippine Animal Welfare Society. — Milliscent Ong
