'Princess and I' gets webisodes treatment
MANILA, Philippines -- The country's undisupted No. 1 television series now takes on the Internet.
"Walang Hanggan" made it debut on the Web via a dedicated online channel dubbed "Walang Hanggan TV." The online portal features exclusive updates, behind-the-scene footages, and inside stories about the show and its cast members.
Easily accessible by logging on to ABS-CBN.com, "Walang Hanggan TV" is hosted by "Pinoy Big Brother" mainstay Biance Gonzales.
In its first few episodes, the online channel featured behind-the-scenes footage of actress Eula Valdez's first day of filming. Announced last month as the latest addition to the cast of "Walang Hanggan," Valdez portrays the ominous "Black Lily."
Valdez appearance in the top-rating series is expected to boost the show's reign on primetime, which recently breached the 40% audience share nationwide based on TV ratings data of Kantar Media.
"Walang Hanggan" is not alone in winning the hearts of Filipino viewers across the country.
ABS-CBN's other primetime offering, "Princess and I," has also posted strong ratings among nationwide viewers, and has also made its debut in the online space.
Dubbed "Princess and I Plus," the show's online channel also offers netizens a look at the exclusive updates and behind-the-scenes footage of the teen-oriented, royalty-inspired soap.
"Princess and I Plus" is also accessible via ABS-CBN.com.
"Walang Hanggan" and "Princess and I" air weeknights, back-to-back, during ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida block.
