MANILA -- Former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Paul Jake Castillo has chosen to ignore critics who are against his relationship with actress Kaye Abad.
"Those who don't like me being with Kaye, wala naman silang magagawa eh. Hindi naman sila 'yung girlfriend ko," Castillo told ABS-CBNNews.com.
"I pretty much don't care, Actually masaya pa ako nga sa mga ganyan. It's funny how they get really offended because I'm with Kaye. It's really funny," he said.
Castillo and Abad publicly admitted of being a couple in May, prompting speculations about a possible overlap with their previous relationships.
Abad was previously in a relationship with singer Guji Lorenzano, while Castillo was going out with actress Melissa Ricks. Both Abad and Castillo denied that there was an overlap.
For Castillo, what is important is that they are happy.
"If other people say that 'you know I don't like you for Kaye' ano ang magagawa nila? Just don't mind us," said Castillo, who added that he has already introduced Abad to his parents.
Asked to describe their relationship, Castillo said: "Yung kaibahan ng relationship namin, it's company. We started out as friends so she knows my good and bad side. You know everyone has a down side and she knows about it. I guess I know a lot about her also and that's a good thing."
Currently, Castillo is part of the hit daytime series "Be Careful With My Heart."
