MANILA – JC de Vera said his love life would have to take a back seat for a while as his main priority at this point is his showbiz career.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, the “Moon of Desire” lead actor said ABS-CBN has been giving him great projects since he transferred to the Kapamilya network and he does not want to waste these opportunities.
“Bigger dreams lang kasi talaga. Ever since I transferred sa Kapamilya, naka-focus talaga ako sa work kasi nag-open sila ng magandang opportunity sa akin. Ayaw kong sayangin yun kaya lahat ng projects na binibigay nila, lahat talaga gina-grab ko,” he said.
De Vera said he is not rushing to enter into a relationship because he believes it will come at the right time.
“Hopefully someday makakita ako ng time. Pero sa ngayon talaga, hindi mo maiiwasan, talagang all work,” he said.
When asked about the Kapamilya actresses he finds attractive, De Vera said: “Marami akong nakikita, interesadong makilala.
Despite this, De Vera has been vocal in saying he admires his “The Legal Wife” co-star Maja Salvador.
“Si Maja nakakasama ko naman parati. Nakikita ko siya once in a while. Okay lang [na taken na siya], hanggang tingin-tingin lang naman ako,” he said, referring to Salvador’s relationship with actor Gerald Anderson.
Despite this, De Vera said he is not losing his focus on his ultimate goal.
More on real estate tapos malapit na rin kami mag-launch nung isang bar restaurant with my friends,” he added.
When everything is settled, probably in three to five years, De Vera said he will gladly share to everyone in case he decides to finally settle down.
“Anytime naman I’m ready. Malay natin, three years or five years from now, pwede ka na mag-settle down if enough na yung naipon mo,” he said. -- report from Ginger Conejero, ABS-CBN News
