Toni Gonzaga denies snubbing fans at album launch
MANILA – Toni Gonzaga denied rumors that she snubbed some of her supporters during the launch of her latest album, “Celestine,” at Eastwood in Quezon City last week.
Speaking to the entertainment site Pep, Gonzaga maintained that she always makes it a point to interact with her fans.
“Hindi po, na-entertain ko naman lahat. At saka may live po ako sa PBB [Pinoy Big Brother] noon, alam ng mga tao iyan,” she said.
Gonzaga co-hosted the ABS-CBN shows “ASAP” and “The Buzz” before heading to the album launch, and she to leave right after for the live eviction night of “PBB.”
Nonetheless, Gonzaga apologized if she inadvertently failed to accommodate some people who were at the event.
“Wala naman po akong alam, pero doon sa mga nagtampo, siyempre ay humihingi po ako ng tawad. Kasi, na-late nga ako sa PBB noon. Mahalaga sa akin ang fans, kaya hangga’t maa-accommodate ko sila, siyempre po ay gagawin natin iyon,” she said.
Meanwhile, Gonzaga’s mom also came to her defense saying it is not in the television host’s personality to snub fans.
“I'm sure na di totoo iyan, [because] fans will text me too kapag may ganyan. And besides ngarag si Toni galing [sa The Buzz], then need to be in [ABS-CBN] again for live PBB eviction night because taga PBB is forwarding their message to Toni’s team para umalis na sa Eastwood for live airing,” she said.
Gonzaga’s mom is hoping her daughter’s fans will understand because “Toni's situation that time, it’s beyond her control.”
