In an interview with "Showbiz Inside Report" aired Saturday, Zulueta said she does not want her two children to follow in her footsteps.
"Iiyak ako, 'wag sana. It's not that I’m being ungrateful, because maganda naman 'yung naidulot ng showbiz sa buhay ko. Maraming naidulot sa akin ang showbiz, pero honestly talaga, it's a hard life. It's a very hard career," Zulueta said.
Behind their glamorous visage, celebrities often find themselves as the subject of intrigues, at times to the point of being "toyed with," Zulueta said.
"It's not glamorous, believe me. Akala niyo lang glamorous kasi ganito itsura namin, pero hindi niyo alam kung ano nangyayari backstage.
'"'Yung para ma-intriga, 'yung matahin ka ng tao, 'yung kung anu-anong gagawin, paglaruan ka, ayokong pagdaanan ‘yun ng mga anak ko eh," she said.
Despite the difficult life that comes with it, Zulueta said she has nonetheless grown to love her craft as an actress.
But her immense success in the entertainment industry--she currently topbills the "phenomenal" top-rating series "Walang Hanggan"--did not come without mistakes and sacrifices made along the way.
"Importante talaga ang education, that's one of my regrets. Now when I want to do something else, I don't know. I want to get into business, but I didn't study business, I didn't go to college," she said.
The long-time actress said, however, that her fulfillment now comes from being a mother--a role she made changes for as a person.
"I've made many mistakes in the past, ang imporante is [my children] remember how mama was when they came into my life. Binago ko talaga ang sarili ko para sa kanila," she said.
