MANILA, Philippines – Actor Dennis Trillo, a former boyfriend of Jennylyn Mercado, said he would rather keep his silence over the actress' blossoming romance with Luis Manzano.
In an interview with “Showbiz News Ngayon” during the pictorial for his upcoming movie, Trillo said he is in no position to comment about the matter because he is not with Mercado anymore.
“Ayaw ko na mag-comment tungkol diyan. Move on na tayo diyan ang tagal na noon,” he said.
Trillo said he has already moved on from their past relationship.
“Sa totoo lang wala naman halos nabago. Noong una iniisip ko na after noong lahat ng mga nangyari, parang magbabago ang tingin sa akin ng mga tao. Surprisingly parang wala namang nangyaring kakaiba,” he said.
In her tell-all interview with "YES!" magazine in their May issue, Mercado accused Trillo of verbally and physically hurting her that resulting in their break-up in March of this year.
When asked about his love life, Trillo said it is not his first priority as of the moment.
“Love life, hindi ko muna iniisip ngayon iyan. Masaya ako na ganito na mas maraming akong oras na magawa ang mga gusto ko. Single and loving it,” he said.
