MANILA, Philippines - Actress Eula Valdez admitted that she admires Coco Martin, the lead star of her newest series "Walang Hanggan."
Valdez called Martin "yummy," recalling Martin's line in a TV commercial for a coffee brand.
But she was quick to add that she is not attracted to the award-winning actor.
"Oo, yummy. Ano lang 'yun, yummy na PG, parental guidance," Valdez said in an interview during her solo press conference on Thursday for "Walang Hanggan."
"Sabihin na lang natin na guwapo siya at magaling siyang artista, at masaya ako na naka-trabaho ko siya ulit," added Valdez, who worked with Martin in the film "Born To Love You."
Valdez said, however, that she would love to be Martin's on-screen partner, revealing that her dream project is a "May-December" affair type of story with the actor.
Not Amor Powers
In "Walang Hanggan," Valdez will play the role of a woman known only as "Black Lily."
The veteran actress made it clear that her character is different from one of her most popular roles, Amor Powers in defunct series "Pangako Sa'Yo."
'Yung Amor Powers kasi from rags to riches, 'yung magiging powerful eventually.
The actress also hinted that her newest role "will seek justice."
Valdez started taping for "Walang Hanggan" on Wednesday. She said she had her first taping day with young actress Melissa Ricks.
"Walang Hanggan" airs weeknights after "Princess and I" as part of ABS-CBN's primetime lineup.
