Amalia says she can one-up Annabelle
MANILA, Philippines – Seeking to disprove claims they were merely live-in partners, former actress Amalia Fuentes on Wednesday showed proof of her marriage with her late ex-husband Joey Stevens to "enlighten the public."

In 2009, Fuentes filed a concubinage case against Stevens.
'Responsibility to the public'
Fuentes said showing her marriage contract with Stevens is her responsibility to the public as a celebrity, to "enlighten" them of the "truth."
"I don't care about Annabelle Rama. This is not to enlighten her but to enlighten the public, because I have a public responsibility as a celebrity.
Fuentes also shrugged off Rama's move to file charges against her in Cebu, supposedly to deliberately inconvenience her.
Wala siyang bahay doon, ako may bahay doon. I can do the same. Kung anong kaya niyang gawin, kaya ko ring gawin," Fuentes said.
