A snippet of the script of "The Hows of Us," the upcoming film starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, includes a kissing scene that's sure to delight fans of the real-life sweethearts.
The scene detailed in the script, shared by writer Carmi Raymundo on Instagram, is told from George's (Bernardo) perspective, as she sees Primo (Padilla) singing in a bar with his band. Despite the nearly empty venue, Primo "gives his best as if the whole room is packed."
Overwhelmed with feelings of "admiration, pride, and love," George stands from her seat and appraoches Primo to kiss him "with the same intensity as his passion for his dreams." Primo pulls away, surprised, and realizes he has won George's heart. "And so he kisses her back," the script reads.
It remains to be seen whether the scene will make it to the final cut of the movie, which is currently in production in time for a nationwide release within the year.
If it does get included, it will only be the third time Bernardo and Padilla are sharing an onscreen kiss, after 2016's "Barcelona: A Love Untold" and 2017's "Can't Help Falling In Love."
Described by the couple as a light romance, "The Hows of Us," under the direction of Cathy Garcia-Molina, follows the relationship of Primo and George over a long period, and tackles the challenges of partners in long-term relationships.
Specifically, according to Padilla, it will explore the apparent tendency of the younger generation to easily give up or lose interest, when it comes to a job or a relationship. By the actor's admission, he and Bernardo can easily relate to the topic of "The Hows of Us," as they, too, are in a long-term relationship that has gone through highs and lows.
