MANILA - Actress-host Kris Aquino had to double-check the correct spelling of "fuchsia" after her sisters sent her text message, saying she might have made a mistake.
Aquino gamely spelled fuchsia after her co-host Boy Abunda suddenly asked her to spell it when they were talking about his pink suit.
"Ang mga sisters ko nanonood ngayon ang they were so worried about my spelling of fuchsia. But you know in my dictionary app ...Ate Pinky, if you are watching tama ako. Kasi sabi nila na baka mali pero tama ako. It is really F-U-C-H-S-I-A. ... Sisters, don't worry hindi ako napahiya tonight," she said "O eto nagte-text ngayon ang sabi niya 'OK.' Akala nilang spelling was F-U-S-C-H-I-A pero hindi I swear," Aquino added after reading her sister's text mesage.
Before Wednesday's episode of "Aquino & Abunda Tonight," netizens had been bashing Batangas Governor Vilma Santos for her spelling mistakes on a dedication card she sent to Aquino, who, in turn, posted it online.
Aquino had to apologize to Santos for what happened, stressing that she "didn't think about the wrong spelling because what mattered to me was your kindness and the thought behind the card."
On Wednesday, comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas came to the defense of Santos, hinting that Aquino should now have shared the photo of Santos' card online.
