MANILA - "Elevator girl" Cheridel Alejandrino, who is known for her cheery personality, broke down in tears as she admitted missing her son two weeks into her stay as a "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate.

Cheridel, who worked for a time as a domestic helper, confessed to Big Brother that she has not been able to spend enough time with her only child due to the demands of her job.

In the reality show's episode on Monday, Cheridel broke down in tears when she was asked by "Kuya" what she is willing to do to ensure the welfare of her son.

"Nagtitiis po akong hindi siya makita, makausap para maibigay lang lahat ng mga alam kong inaasam ko noong bata po ako," the 28-year-old said in between sobs.

The former elevator operator, who rose to fame when a video of her on the job went viral, had been emotional due to the nature of the weekly task assigned to her and her fellow housemates -- to take care of kids whom they will have to teach dance steps.

Cheridel also turned sentimental when teen housemate Manolo Pedrosa, whom she refers to as her "anak-anakan," showed affection for her. She said her interactions with Manolo remind her of her son.

Similarly, Cheridel was seen pouring care on the female teens, including Loisa Andalio, who she helped put to bed.

In the confession room, Cheridel said her goal is to free her son of any burden brought about by financial difficulties.

"Gusto ko pong maranasan na maging malaya siya, na ma-enjoy niya 'yung kabataan niya, na mai-focus niya 'yung pag-aaral niya na hindi iniisip kung ano 'yung kakainin bukas o kung ano 'yung ibabayad sa project," she said.

Cheridel added: "Kailangan ko po magsakripisyo, kasi alam ko po na sa pagsasakaripisyo ko po na mawalay sa kanya, hindi lang po siya 'yung makikinabang."

"Pinoy Big Brother: All In" airs weeknights on Primetime Bida, and on Saturdays and Sundays as part of ABS-CBN's Yes! Weekend line-up. Afternoon updates are also aired via "Uber" on weekdays.
