MANILA -- Thirteen-year-old Shanne Dandan sang her way to the Sing Offs of "The Voice Kids," completing Team Lea's top six contestants.
In the Sunday episode of the ABS-CBN talent show, Dandan was pitted against Lorenzo Cinco and Kobe Viray.
Coach Lea Salonga admitted that the three young contestants have different voices, and that they would have to go beyond their comfort zone with their assigned song, Train's "Hey Soul Sister."
Salonga also had to ask her brother, musical director Gerald Salonga, to make a different arrangement on the song to accommodate Cinco's vocal range, which is lower than the two other contestants'.
Coach Sarah Geronimo chose Dandan for her confidence on stage, while Coach Bamboo Manalac chose Viray.
Salonga congratulated the three contestants, especially for being able to do everything that was thrown at them.
She eventually chose Dandan to complete her Top 6.
"Yung spirit ng kanta, she did not lose it eh, and even the storytelling of the song, she was confident all the way through," Salonga added.
