MANILA, Philippines - Actress Cristine Reyes said she can't force everybody to believe her after she made a public apology to her sister Ara Mina, who sued her for libel.

Gusto nyo ba 'yung nag-aaway 'yung magkapatid? Mas maganda mas maayos," Reyes told ABS-CBN News on Thursday.

Reyes said she really did her best to fix the problem with her sister.

"Ever since lumabas yung issue, ever since out na siya sa public I tried my best talaga. Nag-reach out talaga ako. They would go to me o ako 'yung pupunta sa kanya tapos nagme-meet kami somewhere tapos napag-uusapan namin pero kahit sila, hindi rin sila successful sa pagfi-fix ng problem between us.  I mean ako okay ako anytime, anywhere, any place, pupunta ako. Siguro hindi pa time. Pero ako anytime talaga, go." she said.

The sultry star once again appealed to Mina to end the issue, saying that her sister should not listen to other people, but only to her heart.

Hindi ako ibang tao," she said.

Reyes admitted that after all that has happened, she now misses her sister.

On Monday,  Mina posted a cryptic message believed to be her reply to Reyes' public apology to her via "The Buzz".

In her official Twitter account, Mina posted a quote saying that a "stiff apology" is an insult.

"A stiff apology is a second insult...The injured party does not want to be compensated bec he has been wronged; he wants to be healed bec he has been hurt." -G.K. Chesterton," Mina posted.

Mina also retweeted feedback from Netizens lambasting Reyes's statement.

Reyes, who just finished the television series "Dahil Sa Pag-Ibig" will be taking a short break in London.

The soap will air its finale today (Friday) after "Walang Hanggan."

After "Dahil Sa Pag-Ibig," Reyes will start shooting a movie.
