"It was an amazing and unforgettable experience for me. I enjoyed it thoroughly and it was something that I will never really forget," Curtis told ABS-CBN News. "It was really a door opened for me."
Curtis said she never thought that she will have the chance to fulfill her mother's wish for her to do an indie film.
"It's just so funny because one of my birthday wishes of my mom was for me to do an indie film. And lucky me, the indie film wasn't to be shot here but to be shot there and I auditioned for it and I got it. And you know, I mean, who would ever thought I got to experience that, to experience shooting a film in Hollywood?" she said.
The actress stressed that she doesn't mind if "Blood Ransom" is an indie film.
"You know, I don't care if it's just an indie film or whatever people say about it. But for me, it was an experience, an unforgettable experience," Curtis said.
"It's a trend thing, indie flicks," she added.
Curtis said a trailer of "Blood Ransom" will be out soon. She hopes that a special screening will be held in the Philippines.
"Hopefully meron, pero parang meron based on their text sa akin na 'see you in Manila,'" she said.
Curtis arrived in Manila on Tuesday after a month of shooting the indie film in Hollywood.
