MANILA – Actress Andi Eigenmann is positive that the Estrada family will be able to come out strong amid the recent events involving Senator Jinggoy Estrada in connection with the multi-billion peso pork barrel scam.

Senator Estrada is the half-brother of Jake Ejercito, who has long been romantically linked to the “Dyesebel” actress.

“Siyempre nakilala ko po sila and kaibigan ko din po 'yung family nila. I know kaya nila 'yan kahit ano pa iyan. I know they are strong people and whatever that is, malalagpasan naman po nila iyan,” she told ABS-CBN News in an interview on Tuesday.

Estrada surrendered to the police on Monday after the Sandiganbayan anti-graft court said it found probable cause to proceed with plunder and graft charges against him and issued an arrest warrant.

He is currently detained at Camp Crame in Quezon City.

“Wala pang definite plans pero siyempre I’m going to have dinner with my family, I’m going to spend time with them and with Ellie (her daughter). Pero sa ngayon busy pa ako sa taping ng ‘Dyesebel’ so bukas, I’m going to be celebrating my birthday sa set,” she said.

Asked for her birthday wish, Eigenmann quipped: “Basta maging masaya.”

In adition to this, Eigenmann is hoping viewers would continue watching “Dyesebel.”

“Yung mga eksena patindi na ng patindi. Madami nang nangyayari ngayon. Maaksyon na si Dyesebel. Even my character, nagde-develop na 'yung character ni Betty into a villain na siya na 'yung kalaban ni Dyesebel,” she said.
