MANILA – Jodi Sta. Maria is one in prayer with the Revilla family amid the alleged involvement of Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. in the multibillion-peso pork barrel scam.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Sunday, Sta. Maria said she fully supports the family of her boyfriend Jolo Revilla.
“Siyempre the family is going through a tough time right now. Siguro ang maibibigay na lang natin sa kanila is our prayers. I stand with them naman in prayer,” she said.
The senator surrendered to the Sandiganbayan on Friday morning after the First Division ordered his arrest over the pork barrel scam. He was accompanied by his wife, Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla, and their children.
Revilla, who is the first lawmaker to be ordered arrested for plunder and graft charges in relation to the pork barrel scam, is currently detained at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame.
Asked if she will pay Jolo’s father a visit, Sta. Maria said, “During siguro my free time, oo bakit naman hindi [ako bibisita] ‘di ba?”
Last month, Sta. Maria assured that her relationship with Jolo is going strong despite what the Revillas are going through.
“Hindi naman maiiwasan na hindi siya (Jolo) maapektuhan. Siya at ang buong pamilya niya ay kasama sa dalangin ko,” she said.
The celebrit6y couple have been together since Revilla’s stint in the defunct ABS-CBN series “My Binondo Girl” in 2011.
