MANILA, Philippines - Actor-director Eric Quizon on Saturday said that his father, Dolphy, is showing signs of renewed strength.
"Noong Wednesday, that was 3 days ago, we announced that he was very critical at ngayon lagpas tatlong araw na at gumaganda yung kanyang vitals kaya kaming lahat ay natutuwa dahil nga nangyayari ito at naniniwala kami na nangyayari ito dahil sa inyong mga dasal. Maraming salamat sa inyo," Quizon said.
Quizon, one of the sons of Dolphy to former actress Alice Smith, said the arrival of his other siblings possibly contributed to his father's recovery.
"Alam ko nararamdaman niya yung time na dumating yung mga kapatid ko (Mariquit and Manny Boy). Siguro nabuhayan siyang muli kaya kaming magkakapatid, somehow, nasiyahan kami sa mga nangyari sa nakaraang 48 hours," he said.
The king of comedy underwent dialysis early Saturday morning.
"That was administered at 8:30 this morning. Anong oras na? Medyo matagal na, 7 hours na, that means he's doing well. Okay ang dialysis. Kinakaya niya," he said.
On Saturday, an update from the Makati Medical Center where the comedy king is confined, announced that his vital signs have slightly improved overnight.
