MANILA - Good news to all “May Bukas Pa” fans out there.
ABS-CBN television head Cory Vidanes has announced that the airing of the No. 1 primetime television series will be extended until January of next year.
Vidanes divulged the good news after a Thanksgiving Mass attended by ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio and all artists and crew of "May Bukas Pa" on Monday.
She congratulated the cast and crew of the show, which stars one of the most adorable young actors in the industry, Zaijan Jaranilla (Santino).
"Extended [kami] until 2010 which is good. Marami pang kwento at aral ang aabangan sa ‘May Bukas Pa,'" actress Dina Bonnevie said.
Bonnevie is proud to be part of the TV series because it both teaches good values and inspires its viewers.
Pero when you watch ‘May Bukas Pa’ they just get inspired," the seasoned actress said.
Bonnevie is the villain in the series but she said she does not mind playing the contrabida role.
So, ‘yon ang role ni Malena magbigay ng bad and sad,” she said.
Jaranilla, on the other hand, thanked everyone for watching the show.
Salamat po," Jaranilla said.
