MANILA - "The Voice Teens" coach Sharon Cuneta shed tears after two members of her team performed a song made by the late songwriter Willy Cruz for her.
Alyssa Datu and Patricia Bonilla, who were both four-chair turners during the blind auditions, performed "Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas," bringing Cuneta to tears.
"One interpretation ended up much more simple, the other one much more flashy, more showy. Parang I need to go back to your voices and I need to shut everything out and listen to the two of you sing," Lea Salonga told the two.
"Excellent performance, and it's pretty even, but, I would say parang, kasi vocally walang problema eh. It's about a gut thing, ano 'yung pakiramdam when you heard this particular artist sing this song at this time, it just felt right," Bamboo said.
Cuneta eventually picked Datu to move on to the next round. Bur Bonilla will also be moving on the next round as part of Bamboo's team after the rocker stole her.
Hosted by Luis Manzano and Toni Gonzaga, "The Voice Teens" airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and Sundays after "Goin' Bulilit."
