MANILA -- Actress Maja Salvador understands why some people didn't like the ending of her hit series "The Legal Wife," which aired its finale last week.
In an interview on Wednesday during the press conference for her first solo concert "MAJ: The Legal Performer" at Music Museum on July 12, Salvador said she is aware of the mixed reactions of viewers to the show's ending.
"So hanggang ending ay realistic pa din at totoong nangyayari kaya iwas kami sa kidnapan at patayan para totoo lang talaga," added Salvador, who played the role of Nicole, the mistress of Adrian (Jericho Rosales), the husband of her erstwhile best friend Monica (Angel Locsin).
In the final episode of "The Legal Wife," Monica saw Nicole's car as she was leaving the hospital where Adrian was confined, and noticed that there was someone inside the car.
Monica approached the car and was surprised to find Nicole and Adrian's son, Jacob, trapped inside. She brought the child to the hospital.
At the same time, Nicole received a call from Jacob's nanny, telling her that the boy was inside the car when Nicole drove off. That was only the time when Nicole realized that she left her son inside the car, and rushed to get him.
Nicole learned that it was Monica who saved her son, and apologized to her.
Monica told Nicole to take care of her son, as he will be the one who will give her the love that she has been looking for.
Asked how she would have wanted to end the hit series, Salvador replied: "Ako, gusto ko po talaga ang ending namin.
But upon further prodding, she gave in and said: "Kung may ibang version siguro ....hindi ba may iba na minsan nagwawagi ang mistress?
Salvador also admitted to ABS-CBNNews.com and other reporters that she didn't expect viewers to accept her role as Nicole.
After "The Legal Wife," Salvador revealed that she already has a new series waiting for her.
