MANILA, Philippines – De La Salle University basketball player Simon Atkins has accepted actor Gerald Anderson’s “challenge” to play a one-on-one basketball game.
This, after Anderson learned about Atkins’ admiration for his longest on screen partner, actress Kim Chiu.
It’s fun also to see na Gerald Anderson playing against me. If he wants to do it, sige we’ll set it. I’m excited for it in a way. Nervous din kasi if natalo ako nakakahiya ‘di ba,” Atkins said.
Asked who he thinks is better in the court game, Atkins said: “Siyempre siya.
During Anderson’s “Super Fans Day” hosted by “E-Live” last June 4, Anderson revealed that he was surprised when Atkins was linked to Chiu.
Atkins considers this flattering.
In a separate interview, Anderson said he was just kidding when he “challenged” Atkins.
“Joke-joke lang iyon. Actually napapanood ko ang mga games ng La Salle kasi mahilig talaga ako manood ng basketball,” he said.
