MANILA – Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona do not mind not being the original choice for their roles in the upcoming movie “Bloody Crayons.”
Directed by Topel Lee, the movie is Salvador and Magalona’s first film as onscreen partners.
“This film has been through a lot of changes. It’s the 10th draft. Even the artists, we weren’t the original people to portray the roles. It’s been in the making for a long time... Of course we are super excited [even if we are not the first choice] because it’s our very first film under Star Cinema,” said Salvador in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
Correcting some misconceptions, the actress said the movie is not a horror film.
“That’s the common mistake people make. It’s actually suspense. Wala siyang supernatural theme. It’s just really suspense. You’re just going to figure out who the killer really is,” Salvador said.
Asked what sets this movie apart from others, Magalona said: “It’s been a long time since they made a barkada film. ‘Di ba usually kapag barkada film, friendship, fun movie. This one is really different because they are all showing their secrets to one another.”
“Bloody Crayons” also features Sofia Andres, Diego Loyzaga, Jane Oineza, Maris Racal, Yves Flores Empoy, and Ronnie Alonte.
