In a live interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Salvador was not able to stop her tears as she offered her recent Gawad Urian recognition to her father.
Salvador added she is thankful for her father because she knows that he is among those who pleaded to God for this award to be given to her.
Aside from her father, Salvador also thanked ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio for without her, she would not have entered the showbiz industry.
“Unang labas ko po kasi 'The Buzz.'
Salvador said she had the chance to thank Concio yesterday and she said it was overwhelming to hear words of praise from the ABS-CBN president.
“Niyakap din po niya akong mahigpit... Ang sarap po na narinig ko kay Ma’am Charo kahapon na sinabi niya ‘Hindi ako nagkamali,’” she said.
Salvador was named Best Actress by Gawad Urian for her role in the independent film “Thelma.”
