Zaijan Jaranilla to make TV comeback

MANILA, Philippines – After the award-winning program “May Bukas Pa,” child wonder Zaijan Jaranilla, popularly known as “Santino,” is making a television comeback.

He is set to capture the hearts of Filipinos anew via his upcoming television show titled "Noah." He will star alongside hunk actor Piolo Pascual.

The project will be the child star’s first fantasy series. Jaranilla's newest project was unveiled during the announcement of upcoming ABS-CBN programs in a star-studded event dubbed as "Hala Bida: Tuloy ang Saya."

The new programs will be launched in the second half of this year.

Reports said Jolo Revilla, Kristine Hemosa, Carmen Soo and Diether Ocampo will be part of the series.

New shows

The Kapamilya network also bared its other programs including fantasy series "Imortal," the first TV project of Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz.

The socialites and fashionistas will now have their reason to stay tuned on ABS-CBN as the network presents “Magkaribal,” a fashion-serye that features the story of 2 sisters separated by fate and will once again meet in the fashion world as rivals.

The series is top-billed by Angel Aquino, Erich Gonzales, Enchong Dee, Bea Alonzo and Gretchen Barretto.

ABS-CBN also offers new comedy programs like “M3,” which stars Aga Muhlach and Ai Ai Delas Alas, and “Palibhasa Sikat,” which features Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez.

The Kapamilya network also announced the acquisition of hit Asianovelas including "I Love You So" (Autumn Concerto), "Down with Love," "He's Beautiful," "My Fair Lady," and "Perfect Match."

Kapamilya network is also the official station of the Miss Universe pageant this year.

'Bayan Mo, iPatrol Mo'

ABS-CBN is also launching 2 new game shows. "Twist and Shout" will make contestants sing as they hurdle some challenges. In "Panahon Ko 'To," advertisers will get a chance to play the all-original Filipino trivia game hosted by Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford.

ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs Division has shifted its pioneering citizen journalism campaign “Boto Mo, iPatrol Mo: Ako ang Simula” to “Bayan Mo, iPatrol Mo.” The campaign aims to continue empowering Filipinos of all ages, and from all walks of life, to be the start of change they want in the country.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN maintained its national audience share and ratings leadership after gathering an average total-day audience share of 47% in the first quarter of this year.
From January to March 2010, 18 of the top 20 programs were from ABS-CBN, according to figures released by Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) Media Research Philippines.
