MANILA -- James "Bimby" Yap Jr. plays a boy with "super powers" in the sequel of "The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin," according to his mother Kris Aquino.
Yap has been cast in the sequel to comedian Vice Ganda's hit movie, which will be part of this year's Metro Manila Film Festival. It will be directed by Wenn Deramas.
"Parang kailangan siyang i-protect ni Vice. Parang shini-shield siya kasi marami ang gustong pumatay sa kanya dahil mayroon siyang super powers," Aquino said on her morning show "KrisTV' aired on Thursday.
Aquino added that her son will start shooting next month.
"Parang gusto nila na maka-two o three weeks bago siya bumalik ng school para hindi stressful," Aquino said.
Aquino will be competing with her son and good friend since she will be doing the sequel of her hit 2004 horror film "Feng Shui" with actor Coco Martin also for the annual Christmas film fest.
Aquino had said that it was Bimby's decision to do the movie with the "It's Showtime" host, saying the boy wanted to do "action scenes."
