MANILA - Seeking to speed up the wheels of justice, actress-comedienne Kitkat has reportedly enlisted the help of police and entertainment media in an effort to have her former live-in-partner Alfred Lumanlan arrested.

Kitkat said that Judge Rosanna Fe Maglaya of Quezon City Regional Trial Court last May 25 ordered the arrest of Lumanlan, whom she accused of stealing almost half a million pesos.

Kitkat said she had filed a qualified theft and physical injury charge against the suspect in December 2.

She said, however, that despite the arrest warrant, authorities have had trouble locating Lumanlan. It is the actress's suspicion that her ex-partner is being hidden by his family.

No bail.

She said she was happy, however, that the arrest warrant stands.

The comedienne said that authorities are now looking for Lumanlan who has allegedly been in hiding since she decided to seek legal counsel from Atty. Tony Galvante and Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez.

The actress, who is still planning to file other charges against her erstwhile live-in-partner, appealed to Lumanlan to surrender himself to the authorities so that he can answer to charges filed against him.

Despite her legal troubles, Kitkat is currently busy with acting and stand-up comedy projects. This month, she will be part of ABS-CBN's concert that will be held in Ontario, Canada on June 27 and San Francisco on June 28.

Aside from preparing for the upcoming show abroad, Kitkat is also part of the weekly TV series "Komiks Presents Mars Ravelo's: Nasaan Ka Maruja?"

Kitkat also has something to smile about, having previously admitted to abs-cbnNEWS.com that she has a new suitor from abroad. She clarified, however, that she is still not ready for a new relationship.

As to when ko siya sasagutin, siguro tignan natin. Baka konti pa," Kitkat said.
