MANILA – The half-brother of Coco Martin has decided to follow in the footsteps of the actor.

In an interview with the entertainment website Pep, Ronwaldo Martin said he looks up to Coco and would also like to make a name for himself in show business.

Saying Coco is his role model, Ronwaldo has been seeking acting tips from his brother, who also started his career via indie films.

Natural daw yung pag-acting,” he said. “Importante [din daw po maging professional]. Kailangan daw ay hindi nale-late.”

If given the opportunity, Ronwaldo said he would like to have a project with Coco in the future.

But aside from his brother, Ronwaldo also looks up to action star Robin Padilla.

Gusto ko sana pong role, yung medyo astig na magaling sa acting-an,” he said.

Although he also dreams of making it big in the entertainment industry, Ronwaldo admitted that he is not yet prepared to face intrigues.

Like a father

Meanwhile, Ronwaldo said he respects Coco a lot especially since he has stood as their “Padre de Pamilya” since their father died.

Pero yung takot ko ay dahil bilang respeto, kasi parang padre de pamilya talaga siya sa amin,” he said.

In fact, Coco is the one who sends him to school.

Ronwaldo, 18, is currently in his fourth year in high school.

Ronwaldo is one of the actors in the movie “Mga Isda Sa Tuyong Lupa” under BG Productions International. It will be helmed by director Louie Ignacio.

His past projects include “Tumbang Preso” and “Kasal.”
