MANILA - Former actress Bianca Lapus turned emotional on television after hearing a message from Vhong Navarro, the father of her 18-year-old son.

Lapus and her son, Isaiah, made a guest appearance on the ABS-CBN morning show "Magandang Buhay" on Friday.

In a taped message, Navarro praised Lapus for being a good and understanding mother.

Kumbaga sa how many years na nasa kanya, nasa poder niya, every weekend nasa akin.

Lapus said she became emotional because it was the first time she heard Navarro say such words.

Lapus met Navarro on the set of the ABS-CBN variety show "ASAP". Their relationship started when she became one of the leading ladies of the dance group Streetboys, where Navarro is a member.

Years after Lapus gave birth to Yce, the two separated but remain good friends.

Currently, Navarro is one of the hosts of the ABS-CBN noontime program "It's Showtime". Lapus, meanwhile, is busy organizing events and managing aspiring talents.
