MANILA -- Host-actress Kris Aquino admitted that she can relate to the story of hit series "The Legal Wife."
"I'm not the only one watching it. I think lahat ng kababaihan. The story talaga is something everybody can identify with. Lalo na at this point na nagpapa-annul, siyempre pinagdaanan ko so napi-feel ko siya,"
Aquino's marriage to basketball star James Yap, the father of her youngest son James "Bimby" Yap Jr., was annulled in 2012.
Aquino said she identifies with the title character of Monica, played by Angel Locsin.
"Lahat tayo as a woman na na-disappoint tayo, na betray, nasaktan, kailangang magpakatatag. Kailangan ding tumayo bilang babae, bilang nanay," Aquino said.
"May nabasa ako dati na kapag nabasag na ang isang relasyon, susubukan mong pulutin ang mga pira-pirasong nabasag, ikaw lang ang masusugtan. So minsan magandang walisin na lang 'yan at mag-move forward. Ang feeling ko lang si 'The Legal Wife' should get legally annulled and find her legal husband," she said.
Aquino also praised the performance of the cast, in cluding Maja Salvador and Locsin.
"I text Maj (Salvador) the other day. 'Napakahusay mo, pagganap mo sa role mo, nakalimutan kong ikaw na si Maja.'
'Yung kay Angel kaya kong sabihin talaga na she's already not just of her generation but already one of our finest actresses today," Aquino said.
"The Legal Wife" is now down to its last four episodes. It airs weeknights after "Ikaw Lamang" on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.
