MANILA – Maja Salvador and Kim Chiu finally reunited on stage two months after it was first reported that they have already patched things up.
In the June 8 live broadcast of “ASAP,” the two shared the stage anew for a Mardi Gras-themed production number in celebration of the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup.
It was the first time Salvador and Chiu did a production number together since they faced off in the same musical variety show while they were promoting the finale of their series “Ina Kapatid Anak.”
Aside from their production number, Salvador and Chiu also joined Piolo Pascual and Bea Alonzo for several spiels on “ASAP.”
The two Kapamilya stars were seen sharing a light moment, much to the delight of their fans.
Some of their supporters also took to the microblogging site Twitter to say they are glad to see the erstwhile best friends in good terms again.
A year ago, Chiu expressed regret that her friendship with Salvador went to waste, following reports of a blooming "relationship" between "The Legal Wife" actress and Gerald Anderson.
Chiu and Anderson broke up in 2010 amid controversies surrounding their relationship.
The lead stars of “Ina Kapatid Anak,” however, reconciled in March with Chiu saying it was one of the best birthday gifts she had ever received.
Salvador, for her part, said she is happy to have her friend back. For now, the actress added, she is praying for their relationship to continue improving.
