MANILA - What if Vice Ganda were a character in every ABS-CBN series?
In a series of videos uploaded Thursday on ABS-CBN's official YouTube page, the comedian spoofed scenes from the Kapamilya network's primetime shows -- "Mirabella," "Dyesebel," "Ikaw Lamang," and "The Legal Wife" -- by inserting himself as if he were one of the characters.
The spoof series was originally shown in the recent third anniversary episode of "Gandang Gabi Vice," which Vice Ganda hosts, and became a worldwide trend on micro-blogging site Twitter after its telecast.
In his "Mirabella" video, Vice Ganda appears as a commentator on the confrontation between Alfred (James Blanco) and Mira (Julia Barretto), who claims to be his daughter. The comedian makes fun of Blanco's expressions, and "hosts" the scene apparently while impersonating news anchor Mike Enriquez.
Wearing a blue mermaid tail, Vice Ganda sits beside Anne Curtis in a scene from "Dyesebel," where the titular character transforms into a human. Vice Ganda tries the magical shell on himself, but instead transforms into Ayla (Meg Imperial) from "Moon of Desire," who is covered with hair from head to toe.
As a character in "Ikaw Lamang," Vice Ganda appears speechless as he witnesses a confrontation between the families of Samuel (Coco Martin) and Franco (Jake Cuenca). Apparently irritated by the loud exchange, he shouts at the feuding sides before making fun of the characters' '70s hairstyles.
In his "The Legal Wife" spoof, which has since gone viral, Vice Ganda replaces Maja Salvador in her role as Nicole as he faces an enraged Monica (Locsin). Responding to Monica's now-famous line -- "Masarap ba ang asawa ko?" -- Vice Ganda nods with a funny tweak in the script.
