MANILA - American dance diva Erika Jayne is turning the spotlight on the Philippines in two of her upcoming music videos.
Jayne, who has to her credit six No. 1 hits in the US Billboard Club/Dance Chart, arrived in the country early this week to shoot the music videos for her new singles "You Make Me Wanna Dance" and "Bringing You Back."
"I chose Manila because it's beautiful and the people are beautiful, always smiling. And you're such a talented people," Jayne said during a press conference held Tuesday.
The pop star tapped Filipino choreographer Georcelle Dapat-Sy and her group, G-Force, to join one of the music videos which was partly shot in Binondo, Manila.
Last Monday, Jayne and Dapat-Sy also filmed scenes at Greenfield Park in Mandaluyong, one of which featured a colorful jeepney.
"I'm very happy because we are part of this, and this is one entry point para makita ang galing ng Pilipino," Dapat-Sy said. "At kayang-kaya naman. Kayang-kaya natin sumabay." -- Report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
