MANILA -- Actress Bea Alonzo and the directors of her upcoming series "Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon" are already feeling the pressure since their show will be replacing the top-rating soap "The Legal Wife."

"Sa totoo lang, ako kinakabahan talaga ako. Hindi ako magsisinungaling talagang napi-pressure ako," Alonzo said at the press conference for the new show on Tuesday night.

"Pero sa mga trailer na napapanood ko, nagiging proud din ako. Parang nagkakaroon ako ng confidence na baka naman sakaling panoorin ng tao. At para sa akin kasi ginawa namin ang best naming lahat. So bahala na si Lord, ipagpapasa-Diyos na lang namin," she added.

Alonzo's directors Jerome Pobocan and Trina Dayrit are also optimistic that the new show will get strong ratings.

"Siyempre I think may (pressure din) dahil malakas ang show na papalitan namin pero ako naman kasi I'm confident with the show, maganda ang proyekto, maganda ang materyal, magaling ang mga artista, maganda ang script. I'm proud to say na maganda ang palabas na ito," Pobocan said.

"At sa palagay ko naman with the hits 'May Bukas Pa' at saka ang iba pa nating ginagawa baka, sa palagay ko, ay maghi-hit siya," he noted.

Dayrit agreed with Pobocan.

"I feel the pressure but again, like director Jerome, confident ako sa Dreamscape, confident ako sa creative team, confident ako sa staff at confident na confident ako sa staff and we have a very good script," she said. "I don't know if this is any indication but sa dami ng soap na ginagawa ko sa ABS-CBN, this is the first time na nakaramdam ako ng kabog ng dibdib when I first saw our trailer and it's a very positive kabog."

In the upcoming soap, Alonzo will play the characters of feisty lawyer Emmanuelle and the kind-hearted heiress Rose, who will be accused of a crime she did not commit.

"Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon" also stars Maricar Reyes, Tonton Gutierrez, Dina Bonnevie, Paulo Avelino, Albert Martinez, Anita Linda, Eddie Garcia and Susan Roces.

The series will debut on June 16 on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.
