MANILA - "The Voice of the Philippines" has set an audition date in Manila for its upcoming second season.
On its official social media accounts, the ABS-CBN program announced that it will hold auditions at Market! Market! mall in Taguig on June 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
An open mic session with finalists from the first season of "The Voice of the Philippines" -- Klarisse de Guzman, Janice Javier, Paolo Onessa, and Myk Perez -- will also be held on the same day at 5:00 p.m.
"The Voice of the Philippines" earlier held auditions in Visayas, Mindanao, and Metro Manila in January, and in other parts of Luzon in February.
The format of the show for artists aged 8 to 14 years old, "The Voice Kids," debuted last May 24 and has already become the No. 1 show in the Philippines with an average nationwide viewership of 34.1%, according to Kantar Media.
The coaches for the second season of "The Voice of the Philippines" have yet to be announced, although Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, and Bamboo Manalac returned to "The Voice Kids" after the successful debut season of the show.
