MANILA - "Ang Probinsyano" and "The Voice Teens" have helped ABS-CBN dominate May's television ratings, with 8 out of the top 10 programs for the month showing on the Kapamilya network.
Under Kantar Media's measurement, the Coco Martin-led primetime serye led the way with an average national audience share of 38.2 percent, while "The Voice Kids" notched up 34.7 percent.
At the top five were "Maalaala Mo Kaya," Wansapanataym," and "TV Patrol." Also on the list of most-watched shows were "My Dear Heart" (26.9 percent), "Home Sweetie Home" (23.1 percent), and "Wildflower" (22.5 percent).
The positive May figures meant that ABS-CBN was able to widen its lead over rival GMA-7, scoring an average audience share of 46 percent, or 3 percent higher than April's numbers. On the other hand, GMA-7 remained nailed at 34 percent.
Further data from Kantar Media showed ABS-CBN maintaining its dominance in areas such as Total Balance Luzon, where it recorded an audience share of 47 percent, or 11 points higher than GMA-7's.
The Kapamilya network also had similar wins in Total Visayas (53 percent vs. 28 percent), and Total Mindanao (53 percent vs. 29 percent).
