MANILA -- Stuck at the middle of the countryside, Serena (Liza Soberano) and Tenten (Enrique Gil) had no choice but to wait for daylight and find their way back home.
While Serena silently sat inside the car, Tenten realized it was the best time to reveal the truth, and remind her of the love that faded through time.
Despite the hassle, they were calm until Serena turned the radio on, and a familiar music started playing. It was the same melody they heard in their first dance, the same music that guided their feet to the path of love.
In no time, guilt started to take control of Serena. She is engaged to her best friend Giancarlo (Matteo Guidicelli), and must remain faithful to him. Besides, he trusted her a lot, and he has done too much to save Serena's family. She must not be in love with someone else.
Despite that, she chose to ignore Giancarlo's call. She wanted to be in the moment with Tenten, so she turned her phone off. Her hunger for the truth is more important.
Suddenly, Tenten started answering Serena's questions. But while the truth was being served, Serena had an anxiety attack.
She ran deeper into the dark fields. But when she started feeling lost, a group of fireflies left her in awe. The enchanting, shimmering bioluminescence calmed her nerves down.
With so much nostalgia in his head, Tenten joined Serena in the darkness. He told her a tale about fireflies that turn into fairies during full moon.
"Why do you know story?" Serena asked.
"Kung ano man ang wish mo, susubukan kong tuparin 'yon," Tenten answered.
"Mahal na mahal kita, Serena. Ikaw pa rin ang mahal ko, Serena. Ikaw lang lagi."
Too much emotion triggered the anxiety attack. Serena started losing control over her thoughts and actions. Tears flowed from her eyes.
"Please stop," she begged.
But Tenten continued. There is no better time to unleash the truth but that night. He is determined to help Serena remember the good days they had, and forget about the mistakes that ruined them.
"Ako 'to, Serena. Ang Timon mo, ang buhay mo. Dalawang taon, Serena. Dati mayroong tayo, mayroong ikaw at ako," he said.
