MANILA -- How many memorable scenes from Star Cinema movies can you spot in this first trailer for "My Illegal Wife"?

The three-minute clip released over the weekend tells the story of Clarise (Pokwang), a single mother who hopes to find a father figure for her two kids.

The perfect opportunity comes when Clarise gets stranded on an island with a stranger, Henry (Zanjoe Marudo), who wakes up with amnesia. She convinces him into thinking that they are married.

Clarise even gives Henry an elaborate story of their romance, putting together scenes from different Star Cinema movies to form the narrative.

She tells him they were office mates (cue a spoof of a scene from "It Takes a Man and a Woman"), and that he saw her fixing her car in the rain one time ("She's the One"). Henry's mother, according to Clarise, approves of her and even calls her amazing ("Bride for Rent").

Other scenes from the trailer show familiar moments from "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo" (Clarise emerges from a toilet cubicle on all fours) and "Starting Over Again" (Henry demands an "acceptable reason" from Clarise).

Clarise also has a confrontation with a character portrayed by Ellen Adarna, as inspired by the popular scene from the hit series "The Legal Wife" featuring Angel Locsin and Maja Salvador.

"My Illegal Wife" also stars Empoy Marquez, Edgar Allan Guzman, Joy Viado, Mikylla Ramirez, Steven de Guzman, Anita Linda, Beauty Gonzales, and Pooh.

Directed by Tony Reyes and produced by Skylight Films and Star Cinema, the romantic comedy movie will hit cinemas nationwide on June 11.
