Without PNoy, Grace Lee’s life a bit more ‘private’
MANILA, Philippines – Korean celebrity Grace Lee said she is happy that she is away from the limelight – even for just a bit – after her much-publicized dating relationship with President Benigno Aquino III.
Lee, who has acquired a number of product endorsements after being linked to the President, said she missed leading a life free from stalkers and paparazzi.
“I’m enjoying it. I missed it,” she told ABS-CBN News.
With Lee and Aquino “just friends” now, the Korean host is now enjoying the company of her friends and family.
She also denied rumors that she was in Boracay with a new guy during Holy Week. “No. Hindi pa nga ako nagbe-beach eh,” she said.
Although she has moved on, Lee refused to give further details as to why she and the President stopped dating.
“No, I don’t want to elaborate,” she said, adding, "I think the biggest lesson for me is, really, having the judicious sense of what not to believe."
Asked if she is willing to travel with Aquino to Korea “as friends,” Lee said: “Ay ‘wag na lang siguro dahil hindi rin naman kami makakapag-ikot.”
Aquino recently commented on the status of his relationship with Lee, following reports that they have stopped seeing each other.
His short answer: “We’re friends.”
