MANILA - Actor-director Eric Quizon confirmed that part of the estate of his late father, film icon Dolphy, will go to his partner of 23 years, singer Zsa Zsa Padilla.

In an interview on Friday afternoon after a press conference for ABS-CBN's upcoming weekly show "Ipaglaban Mo," Quizon said that it was part of their father's will.

"Oh, definitely mayroon. Kaya kami 19 [na magmamana], kasi 'yun ang binilin ng daddy ko, na gusto ko ay pantay pantay [kami]. Kasama siya (Padilla) sa 19, kasi 18 lang kaming magkakapatid," Quizon explained.

"No need [na ipaglaban], kasi understood na 'yon na Zsa Zsa will always be part of the family," added Quizon, who was assigned by Dolphy to be the administrator of his estate.

Quizon was also asked to react to rumors saying that Padilla will get married soon to renowned architect Conrad Onglao, her current boyfriend.

"Wala pa naman akong nababalitaan," Quizon said. "Kung mayroong ganoon, I'm sure sasabihin sa akin ni Zsa Zsa 'yon. But like I said before, kung saan masaya si Zsa Zsa, then masaya kami para sa kanya.

Quizon said he has also met Onglao, who only went public with his relationship with Padilla last April.

"Na-meet ko na si Conrad. Like I said, kami ni Zsa Zsa, we've been friends for the longest time. Kasi nung nag-uumpisa din ako ay kasabay ko si Zsa Zsa na nag-uumpisa sa pelikula. Nakasama ko si Zsa Zsa sa pelikula ng daddy ko, nagkasama kami sa 'Pahiram ng Isang Umaga'. Ever since then magkaibigan kami ni Zsa Zsa," Quizon said.

"Even during the time na nagkasakit ang daddy ko and all that, lahat nang pinagdadaanan namin, we always discuss. Katelebabad ko yan si Zsa Zsa. Kung anuman ang nangyayari sa buhay niya, she's very open about it and open naman siya sa pamilya namin. Like I've said before, kung saan masaya si Zsa Zsa ay masaya kami," Quizon added.

He stressed that as friends, they will be there to support each other.

"If you consider the person your friend, you will understand kung anuman ang magiging decision niya sa buhay niya, not unless mali ang ginagawa niya. But I don't think ZsaZsa is doing anything wrong," he said.

Currently, Quizon is back to directing via "Ipaglaban Mo," which will premiere on ABS-CBN on June 7 with Atty. Jose Sison and son Jopet Sison as hosts.
