MANILA - Former actor Lance Raymundo's face is now "fully restored" two months after it was crushed by an 80-pound barbell while he was exercising at a gym.
Raymundo took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a photo of him after undergoing reconstructive surgery last March. The photo, which was taken last Sunday by lensman Von Buenconsejo, was also published on showbiz journalist Ricky Lo's column on The Philippine Star.
The March 20 "freak accident," according to Raymundo's mother Nina in her initial statement, crushed the actor's nose and middle face, leaving him with multiple facial bone fractures.
He underwent his first surgery last March 25.

In an earlier statement sent to ABS-CBN News, Raymundo said the initial operation pieced back some of the broken bones in his face, including "the socket of my left eye which was completely shattered, my right cheek bone, my nose and the entire area of mid face."
The second surgery was for the restoration of his nasal cartilage, which was replaced with a cartilage harvested from his ear, according to Raymundo.
